Beit Issie Shapiro wins ‘most efficient charity’ award

Beit Issie Shapiro, a charity that provides a wide range of innovative services for children with developmental disabilities and their families, was recognized Tuesday as the country’s most efficient non-profit organization by efficiency monitor Midot.
Established to ensure that non-profit organizations and their investors are as effective as possible, Midot appointed a special team of judges made up of representatives from Maala, Business for Social Responsibility, Sheatufim, the center for civil society and GuideStar Israel, an online resource about non-profits in Israel, as well as former Supreme Court President Meri Shamgar among others.
Set up more than 30 years ago, Beit Issie Shapiro provides services for more than 30,000 people every year. It also provides training to thousands of therapists and shares its innovations internationally.
