CAMERA to present two Bar-Illan awards in May

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America(- CAMERA) will at its annual dinner, held this year on May 3 at New York City’s Chelsea Piers, present two awards in memory of the late David Bar-Illan, recognizing outstanding student leadership and activism on behalf of Israel on campuses.

The recipients are Chloé Simone Valdary of the University of New Orleans and Justin Hayet of SUNY Binghamton, CAMERA announced in a statement.

Valdary is a consultant for CAMERA, for which she has written over a dozen articles and initiated innovative campaigns including “This is What a Zionist Looks Like” and “Zionism First,” aimed at reclaiming the word “Zionism.”
