BAGHDAD - At least 21 people were killed on Tuesday when a car bomb exploded outside a local governor's house in central Iraq's Diwaniya city, the latest attack on a provincial government building, local officials said. "A car bomb targeted one of the entrances to the governor's house and the initial death toll is 21 killed at a guard's checkpoint," Fadhel Mawat, a spokesman for the provincial council said.
A source at a hospital in Diwaniya, 150 km (95 miles) south of Baghdad, said at least 20 people had been killed and more than 30 wounded in the attack.
