Court sentences youth to life imprisonment for murder

The Haifa District Court sentenced a Hadera youth to life imprisonment for the murder of his neighbor, 65-year-old Zalman Franktel, on Sunday.
Eyal Damsa, 21, was convicted of hitting Franktel and stabbing him several times in the chest and the back, apparently after hearing him express anti-Ethiopian slurs.
The court rejected Damsa's argument that his confession was improperly obtained by force.
