Ethics C'tee penalizes Barak's salary for Knesset absences

The Knesset Ethics Committee decided on Tuesday to cut Defense Minister Ehud Barak’s salary due to absences from the Knesset.
Barak missed the minimum attendance requirement by two meetings.
“Barak works and acts day and night for Israel’s security,” his office said in a statement. “It was explained to the Ethics Committee that the absences were a result of his many diplomatic and defense-related activities.”
