Finnish FM meets with Palestinian leaders, will meet Netanyahu later

Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini met on Thursday (June 2) with Palestinian leaders in the West Bank city of Ramallah to discuss the peace process with Israel.
Before meeting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and laying a wreath on the grave of late President Yasser Arafat Soini met with his Palestinian counterpart Riad al-Malki.
After their meeting the ministers delivered a joint statement.
"The French initiative and the meeting that is taking place tomorrow in Paris hopefully, you know, it will reconfirm the two state solution and the need for follow-up mechanism that will allow us to see progress on the ground and ending the occupation and the establishment of the Palestinian state alongside the state of Israel as part of the two state solution," said Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki.
Soini visited on Wednesday Israel's Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem in Jerusalem and he is scheduled to visit later on Thursday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
