Former president Katsav to leave prison on one-day furlough

Former president Moshe Katsav, serving a seven year sentence at Ma'asiyahu Prison for rape, was set to leave the prison for a one-day furlough on Monday.
The furlough, Katsav's first since his sentence began in December 2011, comes on the occasion of him having served a quarter of his sentence.
Katsav is allowed to spend the 24-hour furlough solely in his Kiryat Malachi home and the nearby synagogue.
The former president will return to Ma'asiyahu Prison on Tuesday morning.
