Four illegal homes razed in east Jerusalem

Twenty Palestinian residents from four homes in the east Jerusalem neighborhoods of Beit Hanina and Issawiyeh were displaced Sunday following the state-ordered destruction of the houses, all of which were built without construction permits, the Jerusalem Municipality said.
Two of the homes were in Beit Hanina and two were in Issawiyeh.
In a statement, the Palestinian governor of Jerusalem, Adnan al-Husseini, decried the demolitions as an attempt to “isolate” the neighborhoods from the remainder of east Jerusalem.
