Gantz: We mark the 40th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War

IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz spoke at the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Western Wall on Sunday evening.
During Gantz's speech, he noted that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War of 1973.
"40 years later, we remember the Yom Kippur War," he said, "and we remember that the sirens went off, and men praying across the country were pulled away from Synagogues to go off and fight."
"40 years later, and we still need all of our youth to draft in to the army and to stand shoulder to shoulder...it is now tied in to the identity of our nation," Gantz continued.
He added that the IDF of today is ready for any challenges it will face, "with my knowledge of the soldiers, commanders and career officers serving in the IDF...I can confidently say that there is no peak we cannot reach."
