Italian police seek 9 suspects in Iran arms trade

MILAN — Police in Milan say nine arrest warrants have been issued for suspected arms trafficking to Iran in defiance of the international embargo.
A statement from Italy's border police says both Italians and Iranians are among the suspects but does not identify them further.
Milan-based anti-terrorism prosecutor Armando Spataro is expected to give more details at a news conference Wednesday.
Police say the suspects are accused in the illegal export of arms and armament systems. They did not describe the arms.
