Jerusalem deputy police chief opposed to closure of Palestinian neighborhoods

The deputy commander of the Jerusalem District Police told Army Radio on Tuesday that he is opposed to a closure of east Jerusalem neighborhoods whose Palestinian residents have committed attacks against Jews in recent weeks.
"There's a considerable challenge here, but I don't think that the right thing to do is to seal off all of the people and to keep them jailed," said Assistant Commissioner Avshalom Peled. "Even if there is a closure, there needs to be a degree of good judgment. There's no such thing as 100 percent security."
