The Knesset Economic Affairs Committee, chaired by MK Avishay Braverman (Labor), launched on Wednesday a sub-committee for the development of renewable energy. Heading the new panel will be MK Ronen Hoffman (Yesh Atid).
WIth the establishment of the sub-committee, Braverman stressed that the natural gas discoveries have led to a neglect in attention to the subject of renewable energy. "This is a historic mistake, and in order to continue to take care of these subjects, the committee decided to establish the sub-committee headed by MK Ronen Hoffman," Braverman said.
Hoffman relayed similar sentiments, emphasizing that despite the fact that the importance of the country's gas reserves, people must remember that natural gas is not, in fact, a renewable resource
