Ex-defense minister Amir Peretz was featured as Israel's "real security expert" in the Labor Party's newly released elections video.

The video highlights Peretz's achievement in "saving the lives of thousands of Israelis" and prevented wars by being "the father of the Iron Dome."
The video also claims that Peretz defended Israel's security by developing the Iron Dome, despite great opposition.
"With every Iron Dome missile interception we thank Amir Peretz," the video says.
The Labor Party has been bustling with activities on Monday as chairman Avi Gabbay appointed Member of Knesset Omer Bar-Lev as the head of Labor's political-security committee.
Maj.-Gen. (res.) Amiram Levin broke off from the Labor Party on Monday, slamming Gabbay by saying that he thought "Gabbay's record qualified him for the mission and goal... but instead of creating a new vision and attracting more voters, he preferred to act in a state of indecision and paralysis."
The Labor Party released a reply to Levin's comments by thanking him for his service, and revealed that Levin requested for a reserved spot within the Labor Party Knesset list and was refused.
