Foreign Minister Yair Lapid spoke with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on the phone Saturday. The two discussed Lapid's "economy for security plan" for Gaza among other topics.
The conversation was warm and friendly and the two expressed a desire to continue to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, said the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
They agreed to talk again soon.
