Lapid: New government is not anti-haredi

Yair Lapid said Monday that while there were no haredi parties in the new government, that did not mean that it was an anti-haredi government.
Speaking at a Yesh Atid faction meeting hours before he was set to become Finance Minister, Lapid urged haredim to give the new government a chance before rejecting it.
He thanked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for displaying "patience and leadership" during the lengthy coalition building process.
Lapid stated that Yesh Atid had been a winner in coalition talks, not because of the jobs the party received, but because they gained commitments to the "essentials" they campaigned for, such as election reform.
