"Israel needs to go back to targeted assassinations," Yisrael Beytenu Party leader and former defense minister Avigdor Liberman said in an interview to Army Radio on Wednesday.
"If everybody knows that a confrontation is imminent, why wait until we suffer Israeli losses? Create a preemptive attack, go back to targeted assassinations," Liberman said.
He also addressed the Qatari fund transfer to the Gaza
Strip, saying that "a Qatari messenger is meeting with head of the National Security Council, Meir Ben-Shabbat, deciding how to deliver the money tomorrow."
"I never compared Hamas to the haredim," Liberman claimed, referring to a series of comments he made about his party's campaign and stances during a conference on Tuesday.
Liberman claimed he knew nothing regarding a Yediot Ahronot report claiming the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's life was saved by an Israeli doctor, in May 2018. "For an Israeli doctor to save the life of the PA president, there is no need for the Defense Minister's approval."
"We provide health treatments for terrorists, why would we deny the PA president from it?" Energy Minister, Yuval Steinitz, claimed Liberman is avoiding the report in a following interview with Army Radio on Wednesday.
