Livni meets France's Juppe, urges restart of peace talks

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni met with French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe in Paris on Tuesday, saying that Israel must work to renew peace talks with the Palestinian Authority now, while the opportunity still exists.
"The changes in the Arab world may may create a new more extreme leadership that will refuse the possibility of reaching a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians," Livni stated.
"Israel must restart negotiations and must take advantage of the Quartet meeting tomorrow in order to reengage the sides," she added, referencing the expected arrival of Quartet representatives to the area.
Livni added that Israel should be negotiating with the PA and not Hamas.
