Raphael Katz, 24 from Netanya, missing since Monday

A family from Netanya has asked for the public’s help in finding their son Raphael Katz, who has not been seen since he went missing on Monday morning.
The 24-year-old Raphael Katz, who goes by Rafi, made aliya from South Africa with his family in 1998.
He was the two-time Israel national judo champion and a member of the national judo team. Raphael became religious seven years ago and studied at the Machon Yaakov yeshiva in Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood.
Raphael’s mother, Ava Katz, said Thursday that her son left her Netanya home where he lives on Monday morning without any money, warm clothes or his cellphone, and was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, black kippa and tzitzit at a synagogue in Ra’anana.
Raphael is 180 centimeters tall, has a medium build, reddish brown hair, a red beard and blue eyes.
Police have opened a missing persons case on Katz and have asked anyone who may have seen him to please contact the Netanya Police at (09) 886-4322.
