In an hearing in the Tel Aviv District Court on Wednesday over the Holyland Affair, former prime minister Ehud Olmert's aide Shula Zaken told the court that she did not yet have a lawyer.Zaken, who was Olmert's bureau chief from 1993- 2003 during his term as mayor of Jerusalem, was one of 13 individuals indicted over the Holyland real estate scandal, considered one of the largest corruption scandals in the country's history. Zaken is charged with receiving bribes over the affair. The former bureau chief did not attend an arraignment hearing last month, and at that time her then lawyer Micha Pettman told the court that she could not be present because the trial was being conducted at the same time as her other corruption trial in Jerusalem. On Wednesday, however, Zaken said Pettman would not be representing her because she could not afford to pay for a lawyer.
