State comptroller releases stinging report on Meuhedet fund

State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss on Monday released a report blasting what was alleged to be corrupt management practices at national health fund Meuhedet.
According to the report tens of millions of shekels a year from Meuhedet's budget was being improperly allocated by the group's management to improper activities.
Several criminal indictments are expected to result from the investigation, including that of the current Jerusalem district manager for the fund Yehuda Elyaish. The report especially assigned blame for the corrupt management practices to members of Meuhedet's board and senior company executives.
