Jordanian jets fly over slain pilot's hometown after completing mission

AMMAN - Jordanian fighter jets flew over the hometown of a pilot killed by Islamic State and the capital Amman on Thursday after completing a mission, state television said without giving the location of their sortie.
Jordan's king was visiting the pilot's family in Karak town on Thursday. The show of force came two days after the hardline Islamic State group released a video showing a captured Jordanian pilot being burned alive.
Jordan's military, which is part of the US-led coalition against the group, had vowed to take revenge.
