The ultra-Orthodox (haredi) Hashmonaim Brigade, operating under the IDF’s 300th Baram Formation, carried out its first missions in Lebanon over the past week, the military said Monday morning.
Such operations included targeted raids in southern Lebanon as part of a "forward defense effort,” the IDF said.
The brigade has operated across several fronts, including Syria, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank.
"The Hashmonaim Brigade will continue to operate bravely in any sector where it is required,” Hashmonaim Brigade Commander Lieutenant Colonel S. said. “Alongside our operational activity, we will continue to train the future generation of ultra-Orthodox commanders who will lead the brigade forward.”
"This is another milestone for the brigade, which will continue to operate on the front lines of combat while maintaining the ultra-Orthodox lifestyle of its fighters."
