Three Egyptian shells from 1948 found in Negev

Three Egyptian shells were found Sunday, dating from the time of the War of Independence in 1948, Israel Radio reported.
The shells were found near Ashalim, in the Negev during construction work to create a national solar energy field.
The shells, each weighing 50 kg., were buried underground. The shells will be detonated in two days.
