At a multi-participant event in Munich, Xiaomi announced a series of new products – led by the 15T smartphone series, but alongside them also smart kitchen appliances for the first time in the company’s history, new robotic vacuum cleaners, a new security camera, headphones, and smartwatches. Xiaomi’s president also noted that by 2027, their electric cars will reach Europe, with a goal of 10,000 brand stores across the continent by 2030 where all their products will be available.

Xiaomi enters the kitchen

The most significant announcement was Xiaomi’s entry into the large home appliances sector. The company presented three major appliances under the Mijia brand: A refrigerator, air conditioner, and washer-dryer combo.

Xiaomi’s refrigerator is a 4-door model that opens 90 degrees with a stainless steel front, with a capacity of 502 liters. The new Xiaomi refrigerator is equipped with bacteria elimination technology, three temperature zones controlled via app, and an open-door reminder. It also connects to Alexa and Google Home. The price will start at 849 euros.

The washer-dryer combo features a 52 cm drum and a direct-drive motor with steam capability and a steam refresh program. The machine can also automatically dose detergent and softener, including a unique Xiaomi dispensing system. Washing time is 36 minutes, with an energy rating of A, and even lower energy consumption. Another interesting feature is a fragrance infusion program for clothes. Control is, of course, fully supported via the app. The price will start at 579 euros.

Xiaomi’s air conditioner offers rapid heating and cooling, with a gentle airflow that feels like wind rather than a strong stream, and a half-degree night mode. Artificial intelligence continuously manages the compressor instead of turning it on and off, also saving energy. It comes with an A+++ rating.

New mid-range smartphones

In its new mid-range 15T series, Xiaomi offers two phone models – the 15T and 15T Pro. All models, following Xiaomi tradition, were developed in collaboration with Leica, and camera lenses and performance reflect that partnership.

The Pro model, available in gold (something Xiaomi takes pride in for some reason) and additional colors, features a triple-lens camera system with flash, fiberglass back, aluminum frame, and Gorilla Glass 7. According to Xiaomi, the major upgrade this year is the camera – with a Sumilux lens from their long-time partner Leica, a series of new lens assemblies, aiming to bring professional photography capabilities to everyone’s pocket.

The main camera features a 23 mm lens, and a wide 15 mm lens. The main lens can zoom optically 2x, but the biggest upgrade is the 5x telephoto zoom lens with a 50-megapixel sensor, like the main sensor, and a focal length of up to 230 mm optical zoom. For the first time in the T series, according to Xiaomi. In addition to optical hardware, Xiaomi says they have also improved computational photography to produce stunning images even for amateur photographers, including a street photography mode for quick real-time shots.

To prove the camera performance claim, Xiaomi did not hesitate to show identical photos taken with competitor flagship phones – the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25. But it’s not just photography – the T15 Pro also includes other interesting hardware, such as “offline communication,” a network-free communication feature using a combination of radio and cellular transmitters.

The display is the largest in the series, 6.83 inches, with a slim bezel, 3200 nits brightness, and 144 Hz refresh rate. On the processor side, Xiaomi did not skimp and chose MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus. The battery is a hefty 5500 mAh, supporting 15 hours of operation, 90W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging support.

The standard 15T enjoys the same screen as the Pro model. The difference is in the camera system, which lacks the powerful zoom lens of its advanced sibling and has a slightly simpler sensor. Hardware-wise, charging is slower (67W) and there is no wireless charging support. The processor is also one tier lower. Xiaomi also announced a series of innovations in their operating system, HypeOS 3, including a new design with information islands, similar to what Apple introduced years ago, and better connectivity with computers and even iPhones.

In AI, Xiaomi presents screen content analysis and deep inference capabilities. Another feature is audio noise removal, autonomous agent operation, real-time noise filtering, and smart file search with writing suggestions. The central tool Xiaomi implemented here is Google’s Gemini, including machine vision capabilities to understand displayed content.

Fitness band in gold

At its Munich event, Xiaomi launched not only phones but also smartwatches and wearable computing accessories like headphones, all in gold to match the phones. The new buds are open-design and also come in graphite gray and black. According to Xiaomi, these headphones do not sacrifice sound quality due to the open design and have less sound leakage. They are also IP54 water- and dust-resistant, with eight and a half hours of playback per cycle.

The company also announced a new smartwatch, the S4, which is lightweight and elegant, with a stainless steel body and 41 mm diameter. Besides gold, it will be available in black, mint green, and white. It will also be one of the first wearable computing devices to support Xiaomi’s new operating system. They promise four days of battery life under heavy use, and eight days under light use. To complete the collection, they also presented a gold version of their popular fitness band for those who want some bling. The last personal computing product Xiaomi unveiled in Munich is the REDMI Pad 2 Pro tablet, with a 12-inch screen, priced starting at 300 euros.

TV, vacuums, and new security camera

In the packed announcement, they also unveiled a new 4K TV, two new robotic vacuum cleaners in two finish levels, as well as the C701 security camera with 4K resolution, physical lens cover, AI-supported voice control, and scene detection for babies, pets, and general smart home use. It will be sold at an affordable price of 60 euros (about NIS 240).
