Bug announced the start of marketing the Ultrahuman technology brand in Israel, with the launch of the Ring Air – a smart ring designed to monitor health, sleep, and physical activity metrics. The product’s entry into the local market constitutes direct competition to smartwatches and traditional fitness bands, with a focus on minimalist design and a business model that does not require monthly subscription fees.

The ring is made of aerospace-grade titanium with a tungsten carbide coating and weighs 2.4 grams. Its structure was designed without internal protrusions to allow maximum comfort during sleep, the period in which a significant portion of the monitoring takes place. The device is water resistant up to a depth of 100 meters and is equipped with a battery that lasts up to six consecutive days of use between charges.

In terms of monitoring capabilities, the device collects data on resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels. These data are translated in the app into three main metrics: “Sleep Index” which analyzes sleep stages and quality, “Movement Index” for tracking daily activity, and “Recovery Score” which assesses the user’s physical readiness for exertion based on metrics measured during the night and the previous day.

Sales in Israel are expected to begin on February 19 with nationwide availability. The price of the ring has been set at NIS 1,399 for the standard models and NIS 1,579 for the Rose Gold model. As part of the launch, the importer includes a two-year service package covering cases of loss, theft, or physical damage, managed directly with the manufacturer via the dedicated app that has been translated into Hebrew.
