Domus Hotels continues to strengthen its position in the Israeli hospitality industry and is expanding its activity in the capital of the Negev with the opening of Herzl Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in the Old City. This is the network’s fourth hotel in Beersheba, and it joins its active hotels in Haifa and Tel Aviv.

The new hotel, established in an abandoned building that was renovated from the ground up with an estimated investment of NIS 20 million, spans approximately 1,000 square meters and offers 18 spacious guest rooms measuring 22–35 square meters, alongside 16 short-term rental apartments, a conference hall and business event facilities. The hotel is intended first and foremost for businesspeople and visitors arriving in the metropolis during the week, and provides high-quality accommodation solutions in the heart of the Old City.

A Strategy of Peripheral Hospitality
The choice of Beersheba has a strategic reason: The city is developing rapidly and attracts half a million visitors a day, including members of the defense establishment, employees of the IDF’s C4I Directorate campus, students and lecturers from Ben-Gurion University, and key visitors to medical and industrial institutions.

Michael Howard, one of the network’s founders, explains: "Beersheba is a metropolis experiencing tremendous growth, and its hotel supply has been limited. We are not waiting for tourists from abroad, but rather responding to the existing demand here and now, intended for local businesspeople and industry."

Domus is also continuing in the center of the country. Following the opening of the Domus Metro hotel in Tel Aviv, the network is expected to open another hotel this coming summer in a strategic location on Frishman Street, in place of the former Selina hotel. This focus on the center serves the network’s strategy to be considered a leading player also in the urban and boutique hospitality sector.
