Samsung has issued an official invitation to its annual Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held on February 25 in San Francisco. At the event, the South Korean giant is expected to unveil its new flagship model series, the Galaxy S26, which includes the standard S26 model, the S26 Plus and the S26 Ultra.

One of the main rumors concerns a new display technology called "Privacy Display". According to reports, Samsung will integrate into the screens a capability that prevents people standing next to the user from viewing the content displayed on the screen, so that only someone looking directly at the device will be able to clearly see what is happening on it. This technology is expected to be managed at the pixel level and may be exclusive to the Ultra model or to some of the advanced models in the series.

In terms of performance, rumors indicate that Samsung will switch to using 12 gigabytes of RAM as a minimum standard across the entire series, while the Ultra model may come with 16 gigabytes to support complex on-device artificial intelligence data processing. The new processors, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600, are expected to offer significant improvement in energy efficiency and graphical performance, which is expected to extend battery life even without a significant increase in their physical capacity.

In the photography segment, the Ultra model is expected to retain the 200-megapixel sensor, but with an improved aperture of f/1.4, which will allow greater light intake and higher-quality photos in challenging lighting conditions. In addition, there are indications that Samsung will improve charging speed in the Ultra model to 60 watts, which will constitute a significant upgrade after years in which the company maintained a relatively conservative charging rate compared to its competitors in the market.
