After a relatively wet winter, the Jordan Valley is covered in vibrant green – carpets of blossoms, full springs, and landscapes that stretch to the horizon. From this week until March 20, the 2026 edition of the successful Green Valley festival will take place. Five weekends inviting the public to enjoy nature – on foot, with children, at sunrise, or by lantern light – and experience the valley from a slightly different perspective.
The festival, initiated by the Jordan Valley Regional Council in collaboration with the Agriculture Ministry and Food Security and the Jewish National Fund (JNF), is held this year under the theme “Continuing Together,” offering a wide range of free activities alongside subsidized events costing only NIS 10.
During the month, there will be guided tours to hidden viewpoints and areas beyond the security fence, foraging and outdoor cooking workshops, farmers’ markets with local produce, and relaxed Shabbat receptions near the springs.
