Good news for residents of the South and the Gaza Envelope: The Izun Association, which has been operating for over 25 years in the field of mental health and trauma, has recently opened Khan Izun, a unique therapeutic–rehabilitation space intended for men and women aged 18 and above coping with anxiety, trauma and post-trauma, following the events of the period.

The Khan, located in Bitan Aharon in a quiet and protected natural setting, offers a holistic therapeutic framework that includes personal guidance, rehabilitation programs, strengthening the return to daily functioning and creating a sense of home and community. The place provides a response for survivors of the events in the South, young adults from the Envelope, security and rescue forces personnel and their family members, and anyone who feels that they need emotional support during this complex period.

As part of the activities at the Khan, there is an emphasis on reducing symptoms of anxiety and trauma, learning new coping methods and reconnecting to life in the community, while all treatments are provided under one roof and in therapeutic continuity even after the end of the stay.

At the Izun Association it is emphasized that many residents of the South are still coping with the ongoing consequences of the terror and combat events, and sometimes feel that they have been left alone with the difficulty. “We opened the Khan especially for you, so that you will not be left alone,” it was stated.
