The entry of the mobile company Infinix into Israel significantly expands the variety of smartphones available and will introduce for the first time a new operating system: XOS 15.

Infinix’s entry into Israel exposes consumers to an operating system that has not been at the center of discussion until now, but offers an exceptional combination: XOS 15 delivers a user experience reminiscent of iOS on an Android-based operating system.

In practice, it is Android through and through, however the way XOS is built - the interface, the flow, the animations, and the response times - creates a polished and smooth experience, familiar mainly from the iPhone family. This combination allows users to enjoy the flexibility of Android without sacrificing a premium feel. Additionally, Infinix offers a two-year manufacturer warranty and home repair services.

The main feature of the system is Dual System: The ability to run two completely separate environments on the same device - work and personal. Each environment has its own apps, files, and permissions, with separate protection. This is a built-in capability, positioning the smartphone as a true work tool, not just a communication device.

Alongside this, XOS 15 integrates built-in AI tools in Hebrew: A voice assistant for calendar management and navigation, real-time conversation transcription and translation, writing and messaging assistance, photo-based search, and media editing tools - all as part of the system, with no external installations required.

Even at the operational level, the system focuses on efficiency. It offers fast switching between apps, smart memory management, freezing of inactive apps, a Dynamic Bar layer for live notifications, and advanced device resource control. Personalization is high, including the home screen, widgets, and icons inspired by iOS.

Meanwhile, the world has already begun seeing XOS 16, the next generation of the system, which is expected to reach Israel later this year. But already, XOS 15 offers a clear alternative: Android that feels like iOS - at a more accessible price.

Even for Hardcore Gamers

As the company states, it offers a variety of mobile phones for different uses and price points. I reviewed the GT 30 Pro, designed for gamers seeking a fast and powerful device with a console-like feel, featuring dedicated physical triggers.

The device is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, 1.5K resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering a smooth, colorful, and sharp display that allows users to notice every detail in real time. It weighs only 162 grams and is resistant to dust and water splashes.

The phone has an extensive camera system, with a dual rear camera setup, including a 108MP main sensor with autofocus and a secondary 2MP lens. Regarding video capabilities, it supports recording at 1440p at 30 frames per second or 1080p at 30/60 frames per second.

The battery capacity is 5000mAh, with 50% charging in 27 minutes. The device comes with all relevant connectivity options: Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port. In terms of sensors, it is equipped with an under-display optical fingerprint sensor, a gyroscope, a compass, and a proximity sensor.

The user experience on the new operating system is very modern, smooth, and rich with AI tools that enhance the device’s functionality. There is a balance between personalization and usability, and it feels cleaner, with fewer unnecessary apps.

The system, as mentioned, is influenced by the iOS ecosystem, with app opening and closing animations, and is full of features that provide a premium feel, such as the Dynamic Bar, reminiscent of Apple’s feature, which allows convenient access to notifications and multitasking.

The system also includes many other useful tools, such as a writing assistant, background removal tools, and even digital art from sketches. Overall, anyone hesitant to try a new operating system on their phone need not worry. Users can choose exactly the display style and buttons they are accustomed to, so the familiar experience only improves.
