The Garden of Europe campaign completed its second year of activities in Israel, continuing to promote European apples from Poland and fresh kiwis from Greece through a series of targeted trade and communication initiatives.

The key highlight of the second year was the organization of a study trip to Europe, offering professionals from the Israeli fruit sector the opportunity to experience European fruit production first-hand.In November, three professionals from the Israeli fruit industry visited the Agricultural Cooperative of Neapoli Agrinio “AS Neapolis – Alfa Greek Fruits” in Greece and members of the Association of Polish Fruit and Vegetables Distributors “Fruit Union” in Poland.

During these visits, participants learned about the entire production process of European apples and kiwis, from cultivation and harvesting to sorting, packaging, and distribution. The study trips also provided valuable insight into the strict European regulations, quality assurance systems, and sustainability practices that ensure the safety, traceability, and premium quality of European fruits.

Building on the results of the campaign’s first year, the second year also expanded digital communication activities. Through press releases, and social media profiles, the campaign continued to inform Israeli consumers and businesses about the merits of European apples and kiwis, while highlighting the high standards, sustainability practices, and certified quality schemes that characterize European fruit production.

“Unfortunately, the current situation in the region did not allow us to fully implement the planned activities in Israel for the second year of the campaign. Nevertheless, Israel remains an important market for European fruits, and we hope that conditions will allow us to carry out the planned initiatives during the third and final year of the campaign”, said Piotr Janota, president of the Association of Polish Fruit and Vegetables Distributors “FRUIT UNION.”

The Garden of Europe campaign is implemented by the consortium between the Agricultural Cooperative of Neapoli Agrinio “AS NEAPOLIS” and the Association of Polish Fruit and Vegetables Distributors “FRUIT UNION.”
