Erdan tours eco facilities in Judea and Samaria

"Now I see that the Jewish leadership in Judea and Samaria is also leading the green revolution in Israel,” minister says.

Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan visited the Yeshiva High School for boys in the South Hebron Hills settlement of Sussiya on Tuesday, to inaugurate a new wind power generator at the school.
Erdan’s visit was part of a daylong green tour in Judea and Samaria.
“I inaugurated it with all the youth and the students,” he told The Jerusalem Post. “For me, as a minister of environmental protection, as someone who believes that Jews have the right to live everywhere in Israel, I have two reasons to be happy – first of all, every day I get to inaugurate a green project is always a happy day for me. [Second], now I see that the Jewish leadership in Judea and Samaria is also leading the green revolution in Israel.”
Erdan toured Efrat to learn about the green efforts across the city, as well as Kiryat Arba, where he visited a girls seminary’s dormitory that is being powered with geothermal energy instead of with fossil fuels.
“The green revolution is being led by the mayors and leaders in Judea and Samaria, and I’m very happy for that,” he said, saying he hopes this proves wrong claims made by the Arab League at the UN two weeks ago, that Israel causes Palestinian pollution.
Marveling at how many buildings on Mount Hebron are now covered with photovoltaic panels, he added, “It’s a revolution that I’m very proud to see, because I want Judea and Samaria to give a positive example in demonstrating their commitment to treating the Holy Land as a holy land.”
