US President Donald Trump reacted to Zohran Mamdani’s win of the Democratic mayoral primary in New York City in a Truth Social post on Wednesday.

“It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line. Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist Lunatic, has just won the Dem Primary, and is on his way to becoming Mayor,” Trump wrote. 

“We’ve had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous. He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him, and even our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is groveling over him.”

Trump concluded, “Yes, this is a big moment in the History of our Country!”

Winner of Democratic mayoral primary in NYC

Mamdani, a State Assembly member for New York’s 36th District, representing neighborhoods in Queens, was announced the winner after Andrew Cuomo, the former New York governor, conceded on Tuesday night. 

Mamdani has been openly critical of Israel, blaming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli government, and the Knesset for the “ongoing violence in Israel and Palestine,” a day after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, in a post he shared to X/Twitter.

He also refused to acknowledge Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state, explaining to Fox News, “Because I’m not comfortable supporting any state that has a hierarchy of citizenship based on religion or anything else."
