Police in Brazil are investigating an incident in which the body of a woman was discovered on a bus with 26 iPhones glued to her skin, according to international media reports.
The 20-year-old unidentified woman was discovered on July 29. She is understood to have passed as a result of cardiac arrest.
Police believe the woman was smuggling the phones, according to The Mirror.
Cause of death
Passengers on the bus reportedly told police the woman had traveled alone and became ill on her way to São Paulo, according to the reports. She complained she was having trouble breathing.
Emergency services worked for 45 minutes to attempt to revive the woman after she collapsed in the city of Guarupuava. They said she suffered a seizure prior to her death.
