Trump calls halftime show 'worst in history'

US President Donald Trump called the Super Bowl LX halftime show "one of the worst in history," saying that it "makes no sense, is an affront to the greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of success, creativity, or excellence."

Trump criticized the performance by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, which was the first time in history that a Spanish-speaking artist performed at the NFL final.

"Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children who are watching from throughout the US and all over the world," he added.

He also said: "There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a halftime show, and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the real world."

Trump became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl when he went to the 2025 game in New Orleans.

Super Bowl XL kicks off, Seahawks maintain big margin

Super Bowl LX kicked off on Sunday night, with the Seahawks and the Patriots clashing for the NFL title at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

This was the Seahawks' first Super Bowl appearance since they lost the 2015 Super Bowl to the Patriots in Glendale, Arizona.

The Patriots played in their third final in the decade, but it will be their first since the departure of team legend Tom Brady.

Before the kickoff, the United States national anthem was performed by singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, with an air show featuring the US Air Force and Navy flying overhead at the end of the song.

A message for Iran during Super Bowl LX

During the song "America the Beautiful," performed by Brandi Carlile,  a group of soldiers from the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group appear on screen.

The Strike Group is currently stationed in the Arabian Sea ahead of a possible strike on Iran, being one of the main assets of Trump's "Armada" in the Middle East.

It is unclear whether Trump had any influence on the video that appeared during the Super Bowl.

Antisemitism commercial programmed for Super Bowl LX

Ahead of the game, Jewish billionaire and philanthropist Robert Kraft announced he would use the event to send a strong message against antisemitism.

Kraft’s Blue Square Alliance Against Hate released a preview of its 2026 Super Bowl commercial before the Seattle Seahawks face off against the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, on Sunday.

The preview shows a Jewish student walking through a school hallway who is then jostled by two other students, one of whom surreptitiously sticks a Post-it note on his backpack.

When the boy arrives at his locker, he notices the note that reads, “Dirty Jew.” An African-American student who saw what happened comes over and covers it with a blue square sticker, saying, “Do not listen to that. I know how it feels.”
