Bomb outside Greek culture minister's house

A small bomb exploded close to the house of Culture Minister Giorgos Voulgarakis on Tuesday, causing damage to parked cars but no injuries, police said. The bomb, which exploded at 7:42 a.m. (0442GMT), had been placed under a car some 100 meters from the minister's house in central Athens, police said. There had been no warning call and nobody claimed responsibility for the attack. Voulgarakis held the public order portfolio from just before the Athens 2004 Olympics until earlier this year.
