French minister: Iran's response did not mention nuclear arms concerns

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner says Iran's recent letter to the EU did offer dialogue, but made no mention of the West's concerns that it may be seeking to build nuclear weapons. Kouchner says France is pleased by the offer of talks but unhappy that Iran omitted any mention of its nuclear program. Kouchner made the brief remarks Thursday to reporters. He says if there are talks, the international community will be "extremely precise" in demanding that Iran respond to its concerns. Iran sent the letter last week to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, who has been leading talks with Iran.
