Idaho police surround church where gunman shot 3

Police said they cornered a suspected gunman in an Idaho church early Sunday, after two officers and a civilian were shot and wounded by bursts of automatic gunfire. About 75 shots were fired in the attack late Saturday, said David Duke, assistant police chief of Moscow, Idaho. The attack was apparently an ambush, with the shooter firing into the Latah County Courthouse to lure people into the line of fire, he said. "Whoever the shooter is wanted to draw people to the courthouse," Duke said. "When officers responded, he did open fire on them."
