Suspected bomb damages church in Indonesia

A suspected bomb exploded in an empty church on Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province, alarming residents but injuring no one, a senior police officer said Sunday. "The explosion is suspected of being caused by a homemade bomb. But to be sure, we have to investigate onsite evidence," said police Maj. Gen. Paulus Purwoko in the city of Poso, around 1,600 kilometers northeast of Jakarta, where the explosion took place Saturday night. Security forces there have been on high alert since 2005, following a spate of attacks targeting Christians, including market bombings and the beheadings of
