UK PM: Iran is not keeping its int'l obligations

British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Thursday the issue of Iran's nuclear program was referred to the UN Security Council because Tehran was not keeping its international obligations. Blair said that the international community is united in its view of Iran's nuclear activities. "Obligations that are entered into in the international community should be kept and if they aren't that's a serious situation and that's the reason for this discussion at the moment and the report to the Security Council," Blair said. Speaking at a joint news conference with his Slovak counterpart Mikulas Dzurinda, Blair said "Iran should understand that the international community is of one view; that it must not breach its international atomic obligations."
