Iraq war protester Cindy Sheehan was to meet with French politicians on Monday at the start of a European tour, visit organizers said. Sheehan, who has become the face of the anti-war movement in the United States following the death of her son in Iraq, will also meet with representatives of various French pacifist groups, said Arielle Denis, president of the Movement for Peace. Sheehan was meeting first with Green Party politicians at the French Senate. Several British and American soldiers who opposed the war in Iraq were to accompany Sheehan on her visit, Denis said. She was also expected to visit London and Madrid this week.
