Ahmadinejad: Iran waiting to see "real changes" in US foreign policy

Speaking in an interview aired on the Iranian state television Tuesday night, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned that ties between Teheran and Washington won't improve if fundamental changes do not occur in US policies. The comments Tuesday echo similar statements made recently by the Iranian president. Last week, Ahmadinejad said Iran is ready for talks with the US - but only if there is mutual respect. Iranian officials have said that means the US has to stop accusing Iran of supporting terrorism and seeking to build nuclear weapons.
