IAEA dismisses recent Israeli criticism of its treatment of Iran

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Tuesday dismissed criticism leveled at it in Israel regarding the Iranian nuclear program.
"We have served the international community loyally and without bias for 30 years," senior IAEA officials told Army Radio.
On Monday, the Foreign Ministry's Director-General Aharon Abramovitch said that the IAEA was not only neglecting its duties of preventing nuclear proliferation, but acting as an obstacle to those trying to preserve the status quo.
Addressing the Saban Forum in Jerusalem Abramovitch said the UN nuclear watchdog provides an excuse to states that prefer not to join the international community's efforts to prevent a nuclear Iran.
