Iran: US, Britain accomplices in Lebanon attacks

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemned the United States and Britain in a speech Tuesday, saying they were culpable for the loss of civilian life in Lebanon. "The US and Britain are accomplices in all crimes committed by the occupying Zionist regime and have to answer to these crimes," he said, drawing shouts of "Death to America" from the crowd in northeastern Iran. "It has become clear that they are not competent to sit in the UN Security Council and enjoy veto rights. They are culprits, criminals themselves. They must stand trial," he said in a speech broadcast on state-run television.
