Key lawmakers said Wednesday that the United States must set a tough example for the rest of the world by cutting off trade with Iran.
House Foreign Affairs Committee members at a hearing Wednesday were reacting to an Associated Press investigation that found US exports to Iran have grown significantly during President Bush's years in office.
Committee Chairman Howard Berman, a Democrat, and Republican Rep. Dan Burton say they thought the US had stopped trading with Iran.
