'Palestinian haj pilgrims will travel to Iran for military training'

Some of the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who went on the haj pilgrimage to Mecca will travel to Iran for military training before returning to the Strip, Israeli intelligence officials estimate. Israel Radio on Wednesday quote an official as saying that some 1,400 Palestinians left Gaza without entry permits for Mecca, and that some of those were Hamas men who had infiltrated Egypt via the Rafah Crossing. The intelligence officials further estimated that there were hundreds of underground tunnels used for weapons smuggling in Gaza's Philadelphi corridor.
