Ahead of his historic visit to the UN General Assembly in New York City, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has taken to Twitter to show the world just how excited he is to be in the Big Apple.

He also posted recordings of his interview with Ann Curry ahead of his trip to introduce Americans to the "real" face of Iran.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who also is an avid Twitter user, tweeted a message of good luck to the president ahead of his trip.

After a controversial tweet, wishing Iranian Jews a "happy Rosh Hashanna," there has been speculation as to whether the account officially belongs to the president, however it has been confirmed as actually belonging to Rouhani.
