Since the beginning of the war, singer Omer Adam, along with many of his peers, has been actively supporting IDF soldiers. His efforts began with performances at various bases and the establishment of a dedicated center catering to the needs of soldiers and displaced Israelis.

This commitment eventually evolved into an innovative project, ensuring that soldiers on leave do not endure unnecessary delays on public transportation by arranging special taxis for them.

Adam himself committed a significant amount of money to the initiative and then started to fundraise for it, receiving the support of several Israeli business people and philanthropists.

An extraordinary donation

A remarkable milestone in the mission was reached on Tuesday with an extraordinary donation that shattered previous records.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Adam revealed a conversation with his close friend and businessman Teddy Sagi, whom he called to wish him a happy birthday.

To Adam's surprise, Sagi, rather than receiving a gift, expressed his desire to donate a substantial sum to the project.

"I called to congratulate a friend celebrating a birthday, and during our conversation, he asked to donate a million shekels to bring all our righteous soldiers home," Adam wrote.

He added that, thanks to this generous contribution, the hotline coordinating soldiers' transportation will remain operational until the upcoming Monday.
