Israeli security forces were attacked and military vehicles were vandalized by civilians on Sunday night at the Binyamin Regional Brigade Headquarters in the West Bank, the IDF announced early Monday morning.
Security forces were attacked by pepper spray, and by the end of the incident, one civilian was wounded and evacuated to receive medical treatment. The IDF and Israel Police dispersed the gathering at the headquarters.
The military and the police released a joint statement, "The IDF and Israel Police condemn any act of violence against security forces and will operate against any attempt to harm security personnel who are carrying out their duty to protect Israeli civilians."
"The IDF and Israel Police will continue to focus on protecting civilians, while also enforcing the law and preventing any illegal activity, wherever it may occur."
Clashes between Jewish rioters and IDF
The incident follows clashes between last Friday night and Saturday morning, where six Jewish rioters were arrested after attacking IDF soldiers at Kafr Malik near Ramallah, also in the West Bank.
The Israeli civilians drove toward a closed military zone, and soldiers were sent to disperse the gathering, the military said.
