Six Thai workers were injured after an undetonated mine exploded on a farm near Metula on Tuesday.

Two workers in their 40s suffered serious injuries, one was moderately hurt, and three sustained light injuries, Magen David Adom said

The seriously and moderately injured workers were airlifted to Ziv Medical Center in Safed, while the other three were transported to the same hospital by ambulance.

Mine was reportedly part of a cluster munition

According to Ziv Medical Center’s spokesperson, one of the seriously injured workers was urgently admitted to the operating room, and the other is undergoing medical assessments.

N12 News reported the ordnance was the head of a cluster munition. The Jerusalem Post has reached out to the IDF for confirmation.

Police have begun investigating the circumstances of the explosion.
